You're training hard... but feel like you're stuck in second gear.
Your energy drops halfway through the match—and it's costing you.
You're not 100% confident in your gym work or your pitch prep.
You want to build strength, size, and speed—but don’t know how to structure it all.
You feel like you're capable of more... but not sure how to unlock it.
Player B trains effectively, they know how to structure their week and get the right type of training done at the right time so they can continue to develop their physical performance while being primed and ready to perform in team sessions & games throughout the season.
Effort is only part of the equation.
If you want to know the difference, that really makes the difference…
You need to know exactly how you can sprint faster, get stronger, fitter, leaner & more explosive all without running yourself into the ground and negatively impacting your performance.
Which’ll finally allow you to fulfill your potential and deliver the performance levels you know you can do week in week out!
Which is exactly why I’ve created the P2P Pathway
The coaching performance programme for Gaelic Players who finally want to:
Unlock Faster Speeds, Explosive Strength and a Powerful Engine
Train, Look & Feel Like a Professional Athlete
Ultimately turn your Potential into Performance and become the Player you’ve always wanted to be
But more importantly walk off of the pitch with the confidence & satisfaction of knowing that you’ve controlled everything you possibly could have, leaving no stone unturned in your preparation - it’s time we had a conversation.
10+ years in the industry
Worked with Gaelic Players for 6+ years
Worked with 400+ players 1-1
Playing for Antrim for 5 years so far
I've been in your boots. I’ve played at Inter-County level with Antrim for over 5 years, and I know exactly what it takes to perform when the pressure’s on.
When I started, I was desperate to improve—faster, stronger, more explosive. But the resources for Gaelic players? Practically non-existent. So I became obsessed with performance. I trained, studied, tested—and started coaching others along the way.
Fast forward 10 years, and I’ve coached 100+ Gaelic athletes across the country with a proven system that works with your team schedule, not against it. Speed is king—but it’s nothing without strength, fitness, and robust conditioning to back it up.
That’s exactly what The EMC Performance Academy delivers.
Step 1.
We’ll break down your training, your schedule, and your goals—then choose the right coaching level for you.
Step 2.
Whether 1:1 or Group, you’ll get a structured Gaelic Player - specific S&C system that removes all the guesswork.
Step 3.
You will be provided with onboarding info including your welcome pack to help you get the most out of coaching.
Step 4.
Follow the plan, check in, ask questions, and track your progress—backed by expert coaching and community support.
Phase 1.
Building anything with a high peak requires strong foundations. And achieving Peak Physical Performance is no different!
Initially we’ll focus on a few key areas:
Movement Quality and Capacity - both in the gym and on the pitch ensuring you’re moving efficiently and effectively to put you in the best position to move faster, become stronger and more robust
Body Composition - to perform at your best in GAA, there’s a bandwidth of “optimal” body composition. We want to strip away any excess body fat that could be slowing us down as well as building lean muscle mass that allows us to produce more force, take and give contact and ultimately make you more robust minimising the risk of injury.
High Performance Habits - we behave our way to success so by understanding where it is we want to go, we can then work out the Habits and Behaviours we need to implement in our Training, Nutrition and Lifestyle to make that process as smooth and effective as possible.
Phase 2.
Once we have the foundations in place, we have a strong platform to push on and bring more intensity - both in our training on the pitch and in the gym as well as our habits, standards and behaviours off it.
On the pitch, think of exposing yourself to higher speeds while moving more efficiently.
In the gym, shifting heavier loads with intent, jumping higher and faster to continue developing your strength and power outputs.
Depending on your schedule, goals and time of the season, continuing to build the engine to allow you cover more ground, recover faster between high intensity bursts and repeat those bursts more often throughout a game.
On the nutrition front, continuing to improve the body composition as needed, while fuelling your sessions and supporting recovery and adaptation in between.
Phase 3.
Now we start to see the compound effect of showing up each day, week in week out and doing the work.
Hitting faster speeds, feeling stronger and more explosive on the pitch, seeing the powerful engine in action in games.
But this is just the beginning.
When we zoom out and look at the big picture, this is a small portion of the season and a career.
In the PERFORMANCE phase, we look at continuing to build and chip away at raising the ceiling, stacking those small 1% gains week on week.
Continuing to progress your speed exposures both on a maximal output level, but also how you apply the principles of speed in game scenarios - taking players on, closing players down, creating space and opportunities for yourself and your teammates.
In the gym we continue to complement the work being done on the pitch by developing your Rate of Force Development (Power) and your elasticity and springiness in turn allowing you to be quicker off the mark and have the potential to hit faster speeds.
Continuing to develop the capacity and strength to maintain the robustness across a competitive season.
Recovering effectively throughout the week using the 3 Big Rocks of Managing Training Load, Sleep and Nutrition.
Keeping the tank topped up, fueling for Game Day and maintaining high levels of Muscle Mass with low levels of Body Fat on the nutrition front.
All while building your knowledge and understanding of how each individual area fits into the bigger puzzle so you can continue this progress throughout the rest of your career!

Darragh came to me in October 2023 after a few months travelling. The goal was to get back to, and surpass the level he had been at. We worked on building size, strength and conditioning over the winter and laid the foundations for fast and explosive performances come the League & Championship.
We continued to build on the foundations throughout the season, getting leaner, faster, and more explosive alongside a big focus on sprint technique each week - resulting in a new Speed PB of 9.6 m/s.
Faster Speeds + Bigger Engine = Ability to burst up and down the pitch all day!
Gerard came to me off the back of a Club All-Ireland campaign.
After a long season he wanted to get back into a structured plan, iron out a few niggles and build to a new level for the upcoming season.
We built size, strength and robustness in the gym with Gerard adding 2.6kg of lean muscle.
While on the pitch we focused on adding to his speed which was already a strong point, hitting 9.65 m/s and consistently over 9.5 in sessions

“There's no guesswork on any day, I know exactly what I'm doing and just have to show up. This is the first season I haven't had an injury and the confidence I've got to perform knowing that the work has been done in the background.”
“Since joining Eoghan's programme I think the biggest benefits I’ve found are improvements in my speed PBs and also cutting down on casual niggles. I am able to stay on the pitch and be fitter and faster now than ever before. My mindset has improved a lot. I am a lot more confident in what i can do on the pitch”
